Obama Inauguration - Truley an Amazing Day

Little did i know when i woke up this morning what adventure i would embark on. I know it would be crazy but just how crazy was it going to be. I had no idea.

Why is was so great to be in the thick of things. If took allot of hard work to get to near the stage.

I woke up at 5am to get to the crystal city metro at 530. One on it took us 45 min so go two stops. Each stop we sat their for a good 15 -20 mins. I knew at this rate i was not going to make it on time. So I bailed at the Farragut west metro stop and started to march with the thoughsands of other people towards the capital. With streets barracaded and lights flashing everywhere you walked it was easy to tell what direction it was. I would get to one street to relize there were so many people i would have to double back to try to get to my friend willi, his sister and her friend.

At about 8am i finally made it to willi. The swarm of people i had to get past to get to him was insane.

Then we waited in line for a long time finally getting up to the blue gate at about 10:30. This was the gate for our area where the Inauguration blue tickets worked. This was a long battle but worth fighting.

We entered into the blue area battle torn but ready for the show. Then the show started. It was so amazing. It was truly like watching history in the making. Looking on peoples faces you could see this was truly a remarkable event. I am so glad i could been there for this history in the making. I am excited to see what the next 4 years will bring. For the first time in a while i feel we have someone who maybe will look out for the interest of everyone. We shale see

Playing WII and Dance Night at Ultra

So last night i got to play the WII again. The bowling is really fun. I could so see getting one of these. Could be allot of fun. If i ever got my cafe open some day i would so put a WII in it and get some bowling going. Anyways the purpose of us getting together was to go over Willies bachelor party and guy hang out. Man my boy is getting married pretty soon. I can not wait. Looking forward to it. Then we headed out to ultrabar to dance. The dancing was off the hoo as always. Me and willi really feed off each other and get crazy. Always fun to dance with my brother and his girl.

Happ Hour and Diana's B-day Party

Great time at happy hour tonight. Good to catch up with people and even better to see some people i have not seen for a little while. Then me and jay headed over to Diana's b-day. Was allot of fun. Many people i did not know ( i like the challenge of meeting new people ). Good international dancing and some yummy snacks to boot.

Time to Bowl

Went bowling last night with some friends of mine. Man i love this game. Pretty fun. my trick is i always need to find a good bowling ball. But we had a fun time goffing around with the balls and stuff. Joenn cracks me up in some of these photos. it was fun hangin out with her more in a smaller group. Also got to hang out with Cat more. She is sooo funny she cracks me up. Also great to see Jenn, we have been so busy we have not got to hang out much these days. She is like my movie buddy or was until she went into boy friend land. LOL but that is understandable it happens to all. Exctied we may watch true blood together. I am looking forward to seeing this show.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

Wow what an amazing new years. No better way to spend it then with your friends and family. This is the 4th or 5th year i have done my new years party at my dads place in dc. The extra pro of this is my bro lives there so we got to spend yet another new years together. You never know how many years you have with your family for these holidays. Things change people grow up get families of there own. I just feel blessed that another year has gone by and al of my family is in great health and doing well.

Happy new years all and let 2009 shine even brighter then 2008.

Jasons House Party

This Saturday i hit up Jason's house party. Second party i think i have been to at my boys house. This was a really great party. Lots of friends showed up. A really fun part was at the end of the night we were all just chilin on the couch talking and catching up. Felt really nice just to catch up with everyone. Oh also this party we had so many funny photos. Nothing better then stuff that makes you crack up after the party is way over.

West Side Story @ The National Theater

Last night I got the amazing pleasure to see the 50th anniversary of the Broadway production of the West Side Story at the national theater in Washington dc. The show was absolutely amazing. It opened up with a Washington dc council member declaring this day to be Washington dc west side story day. The show started and as soon as the curtain opened I could truly feel the bent up aggression of the actors. I could see the sweat and anger of kids growing up in the west side and the turf battles they were about to pursue. The actors were ready for this opening night. They dance with excitement and vigor. We have all seen a high school production of this play when we were kids but this version was like calling out the NFL all star players for a real show down. I highly recommend this show. Go see it. There is not a bad seat in the house for this type of performance. Even if you get seats on the top level of the theater, the bouncing of the sound waves, sweat and tears that went into this production is bound to make you jump out of your seat by the end of the show humming “When you're a Jet, You're a Jet all the way From your first cigarette To your last dyin' day.

Had a bad ass happy hour in crystal city this Monday. Why so bad ass. my boy willi made it and Christine. Just love hangin out with them. Also my old school friend nikki is back in dc and made it and the usually trouble makers jay , Mike T and Jack. Also hung out with some new friends. was really fun.

Got to see some video of my cousin who lives in va beach box. The kid is really good. First fight he tore this dude up. This guy was running from him most of the time. Randy you go get them son. Happy Hour and Karaoke

Me love Karaoke. I truly do love it. Got to do it at my place some time soon. But this night we ended up in Annadale. Jay set it sall up so i was just following. Would normally not do this type of place., last time i did private oki both it was $200. This is why i bought a machine and starter cd's. It cost me also $200 and last for ever hehe. But it was really fun.

Little Big Man Alert

I love this new photo of my bros son Brandon ( aka little big man ) he is sooo cute. I can not wait to see them in January. So excited to have a little guy in our family. I am really looking forward to having a kid some day. I know i will be a good dad.

2 Holiday Parties and the Improv

This is the season of a million holiday parties. I had three this weekend and three more next weekend. Its really great to see so much holiday spirit these days as they are trying days, with the economy acting up and lots of people losing there jobs. The plan was my really good friend Yvonne had wanted to take me to see Todd Barry at the Improv so the plan was we would hit up the parties then head to the show. it worked out well since both parties this night were with in 5 blocks of each other. Then we headed to the imrpov to get silly. The show was very good. The main act Todd barry was very funny.
